We love Whistler

snow -8 °C

Well we've been in whistler snowboarding for 2 days and it's been incredible. We got really good snowboards from the rental place and were flying down the mountain! Both mornings we got first lifts and finishing at 3ish just before last lifts with a short break for lunch. We're pretty shattered now but it was all worth it. People were complaining because there hadn't been snow in a while but we couldn't even tell! And then it snowed the whole time we've been here which Is ace. It just meant that sometimes the visibility uo the mountain was pretty bad. We're pretty sad now as we won't be snowboarding for a very long time and we're not really sure what to do with our snow gear! Anyways we've got one more night in this lovely hotel so are going to chill out and make the most of it! I don't think we'll ever stay anywhere like this again!

One Day in L.A.

It was a flying visit through L.A.. We decided to go to the Chinese theatre to have a look at all the famous names on the pavement. It turned out we only knew about 5 names! We caught a glimpse of the Hollywood sign from a distance and went shopping. Our hostel wasn't the nicest of places so we were pretty happy to be heading off to whistler the next day. So at 3 am we set off to the airport ready for a couple days of snowboarding. After 13 hours of flights, trains and buses we made it. We arrived at our hotel worried that we'd get chucked out as we accidentally booked it when it's for 25 and overs. We walked in to check in and straight away the lovely lady said she'd upgraded us for free to a deluxe suite as we looked like we could do with a nicer room. What an amazing surprise! We must have looked awful from getting up so early and staying in big hostels for so long! Haha! But what a treat it's amazing! A big kitchen, hot tub, free WiFi and a flat screen tv. And it's one of those ones where you get a bath robe. I don't think I've ever stayed somewhere where you get a bath robe!
I don't even want to go snowboarding anymore I could stay in this room all day! But no we're actually getting an early night so we can get first lifts in the morning! We're so excited to be snowboarding again!
